ITEC DIPLOMA IN BEAUTY SPECIALIST
Level 2

This is a fantastic opportunity to achieve an internationally recognised Beauty Therapy Diploma over a flexible timescale. This Diploma will give you a range of highly marketable Beauty Therapy Skills that are sought after by many employers e.g. Hair & Beauty Salons, Health Spa, Cruise ships. It is also an excellent qualification for beginning a new career in Beauty Therapy as a self employed therapist with opportunity to work overseas.

There is a diverse range of units that make up this Diploma. This Diploma will also give students the opportunities to go further and study many other advanced qualifications in the future.

For the therapist who have already achieved some of these modules it is possible to complete any outstanding required units and apply for your full Diploma.

Preparation of room, work stations and clients
Customer service and selling skills
Professional conduct and business awareness
Facial massage and skin care (facial treatments)
Application of make up to different skin tones
Manicure & pedicure treatments
Shaping eyebrows
Eyelash & brow tinting
Cool wax, hot wax & sugaring

Unit Content:

Unit 9 Skincare and eye treatments
Unit 10 Make up
Unit 11 Manicure & Pedicure
Unit 12 Waxing
Unit 22 Professional Conduct and business awareness

The course is an internationally recognised award for people who want to study full or part time this allows people to move onto higher qualifications in the field or employment within this industry

Entry Requirements

An applicant must be at least 16 years of age or over and must hold either

3 GCSE's Grade C or above or a Level 2 qualification
A minimum of grade D in GCSE English Language
Preferably a Grade D or above in GCSE science (Not essential)

Mature Applicants

There are no minimum entry requirements for mature applicants so long as the applicant has a sound literacy and communication skills in the English language

Assessments

The course is assessed externally by examinations in each unit of study.
Case studies are used as the internal assessment Procedure.
You will be given intensivee help and support to help you get through the procedure

Upon on successful completion of the course learners will receive a ITEC Diploma in Beauty Specialist

Or the option to study further in beauty therapy example:
International Diploma in Beauty Therapy or
Specialist area of study including, ITEC Level 3 in Facial Electrical treatments, Body treatments, diploma in fashion media and theatrical make up, diploma in spa treatments, Diploma in red vein treatments, and many more
